The house rules for our casino-themed programs, in full: who can take part, what the chips and credits are, why this is not gambling, and where to find support information.

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Adults only

  • Our programs are for guests aged 18 and over. This applies to the tables, to any machine zone and to themed activities built on a casino motif.
  • Our hosts may ask a guest to confirm their age, and will decline entry to an activity if it is not confirmed.
  • Minors are not admitted to these programs. The one family-friendly format in the catalogue is the daytime company festival day, which carries no casino-themed activity at all.
  • The client is responsible for telling us in advance if guests under 18 will be present at the venue, so the program and the floor plan can be arranged accordingly.

2. Chips, credits and the absence of stakes

  • Chips are props. They carry no denomination and no value.
  • Chips are not sold. They cannot be bought, topped up, won from us or taken home as anything but a souvenir of no value.
  • Neither chips nor the outcome of an activity is exchanged for money, goods, vouchers or any other item of value.
  • No stake of money or property is placed at any point in the program.
  • Where machines are hired, each machine plays on its own internal free-play credit balance. The machine issues the credits; a guest inserts nothing, cannot buy more and cannot cash anything out. Note and coin acceptors are disabled or absent.
  • If the client wishes to give guests a gift or a prize, that is organised and paid for by the client, outside our package, and is never tied to the result of an activity.

3. Why this is not gambling

Because there are no stakes and no winnings of value, the service is not gambling within the meaning of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (Cth), or of the gaming and wagering legislation of the state or territory in which the event is held. We hold no gambling licence because the activity does not require one: nothing of value is risked and nothing of value can be won.

4. Taking part is voluntary

  • No guest has to play. Watching a table, talking beside it or skipping an activity is entirely normal and our hosts expect it.
  • Hosts invite guests to join and explain the rules. They do not persuade, pressure or single anyone out.
  • Scripted formats, such as the murder mystery, include silent roles for guests who prefer not to perform.
  • A guest can step away from a table or a zone at any time without explanation.

5. Running the evening safely

  • Alcohol is not part of our program and is never supplied by us. Drinks are the client arrangement with the venue or a caterer, under the venue own licence and rules.
  • Our hosts may pause or close an activity if behaviour becomes unsafe or unpleasant for other guests, and will tell the client coordinator when they do.
  • Equipment, cabling and zones are set up so walkways stay clear, and cable covers are used wherever a cable crosses a path.
  • The venue remains responsible for its own safety rules, capacity limits and licensing.

6. Guests for whom a casino motif may not be welcome

A casino-themed room can be unwelcome for someone with experience of problem gambling, even when nothing is played for money. If that may be true of your group, or of one guest, these formats carry no casino motif at all:

  • Quiz Night – Five rounds, a host and a scoreboard everyone can read. From $4,450.
  • Murder Mystery Night – Scripted roles, printed clues and a result read out loud. From $5,100.
  • Around the World – Four station zones, four animators, one passport card. From $5,250.
  • Company Festival Day – A stage, five zones and a daytime plan for a whole company. From $6,100.

We will also run a casino-themed evening without a machine zone, or replace a table with a non-casino activity, at the client request and inside the same price.

7. Information and support

As general information: in Australia the National Gambling Helpline is reachable on 1800 858 858, and support information is published at https://www.gamblinghelponline.org.au/. We have no relationship with that service and mention it only so the information is easy to find. If the subject of gambling causes concern for you or someone close to you, a national behavioural-addiction support service is the right place to start.

8. Questions about taking part

Questions about these rules, about adapting a program for a particular group, or about anything on this page go to [email protected]. If you are signing off an event internally and need this page in writing, it can be sent as a PDF on request.
